Some of you already know how much he loves to cook. Dallin believes his main purpose in this life (besides getting a body, being baptized, etc.) is to become the next Emeril. He loves anything that has to do with kitchens, cooking, baking, mixing, stirring, measuring, or his favorite; mashing.
But here are some of his new hobbies:
Dallin has recently entered the world of pretend play. In Dallin's world, you wash your hands at least 10 times a day in the Little Tykes kitchen, always using soap and scrubbing for about 5 minutes. You also rub water in your hair, get your briefcase (a set of Elmo books), get in the car (Little Tykes coupe), lean through the window to give mom a kiss, and drive off to work. Oh, and of course he is now a doggy instead of a human being, and therefore he must eat regular meals and drink water out of doggy dishes on the kitchen floor. And wag his tail.
Besides pretending he's a dog, Dallin has also spent a lot more time with his sister Evie. For the first eight weeks after she was born, he pretty much ignored her. Now he plays with her, gives her kisses, and even asks to hold her on occasion. A common phrase heard around our house is "Oh, Hi baby Eef!" (those V's are hard to say).

That picture with Dallin and Evie is adorable! The pretending to be a dog made me laugh too. I'm so glad you got a picture to go with that memory : )
that is hilarious that he pretends to be a puppy.
I love my Dallin! Two year olds have got to be the funnest.
Mel what a fun stage! You should get some video of this so that when he is older he can see it. I think Beth was the only one of us girls with imaginary friends, i wonder if he will take on that one? haha.
When we were home he would follow Riley around taking notes on how to be the BEST dog. Lets hope he doesnt pick up any of Otis's bad habbits! haha
Love you!
So cute! I love that he pretends to be a dog. Did I mention that I love the name Evie?
Melody,
I love your blog. We definitely need to celebrate your 5 year milestone. I LOVE your new haircut. I was trying to get to you on Sunday, but had to run down to Primary. Thanks for the fun dinner at your house. It was so fun and delicious too!
Hi! Oh my goodness! I am so glad you have a blog. I searched your name, and found that you have one! One of my friends down here told me about it, and now I'm hooked! I cannot believe how big the kids are getting, especially Dallin! Holy moly! And we haven't met "Evie" yet, but she is beautiful! Hope you are all doing well! We miss you! I hope you don't mind, I'm going to add you to my friends! Take care!
Love Always,
Kris
